Metro Toronto Convention Centre

The Metro Toronto Convention Centre is located on Front Street West in the centre of downtown Toronto. It is a short distance away on foot from the waterfront. It is the premier trade exhibition and convention facility in Canada. It was constructed in 1984 and has more than 600,000 square feet of meeting and exhibition space. Bregman +Hamann Architects designed a subterranean addition to the south side in 1997 to expand the convention space to its current size.

Today, the North Building of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre is home to the world-class John Basset Theatre, which can accommodate 1,330 visitors at once. It is a self-contained area with its own discrete lobby and Front Street entrance. Additionally, it has adjoining spaces that are ideal for pre- and post-performance receptions. Showtech Productions is a subsidiary of the John Basset Theatre that assists customers with their staging requirements.

The North Building also features a 14,000-square-foot registration area with a Guest Services Desk, an 85,000-square-foot pre-function space, and complete electrical and telecommunications services. The South Building, on the other hand, provides a 42,500-square-foot registration area with complete electrical and telecommunications services as well as a Guest Services Desk. Its pre-function space has a carpeted area of 82,000 square feet and is entirely electrical and telecommunications set to serve its guests. The Metro Toronto’s 64 carpeted meeting rooms encompass a total of 104,000 square feet. The two enormous ballrooms, Constitution Hall in the North Exhibit Hall and Halls F and G in the South Exhibit Halls, provide a total of 78,000 square feet of space for larger meetings and conventions. It is the annual location for the NHL awards and Fan Expo.

Additionally, the MTCC offers 1,700 indoor parking spaces and over 10,000 additional parking spaces within a kilometre of the venue that are operated by various parking companies.
